Meet the Dad

Roy stood in the garden whisteling his call for Karim. They waited for a minute and Karim came running, wagging his tail happily.

"Yeah, that would be asterous..." They walked out of the area, to the Garden. "How'd you pull the dog thing off?" He said, watching Roy's dog come sprinting into the area.

He shrugged and patted Karims head happy to see the dog aswell. "Not sure. Found it, gave it food and it just followed me after that. Trying to train it, but it just runs to people when it wants to." Karim went to sniff the othe man who seemed to smell like his master.

Dick nodded to the story, letting the dog sniff him. Dick moved himself to a crouching position getting face level with the dog, "Hey, boy." He said sticking his hand out for the dog to sniff, making sure he had permission to touch before petting him.

Roy smiled. "He siims to like you." He watched as Karim licked Dicks hand and jumped on him, wanting to lick his face.

Dick let the dog lick his, laughing while he did. He tried to move the dog's face away from him but found he wouldn't stop licking or trying to get back to licking.

Roy laughed and took Karim by the hairs of his neck and moved him from Dick. "Bad boy." He laughed watching Dick stand up.

"A lot more affectionate than Ace." He laughed out wiping his face off.

He smirked. "He is, but tends to get me in trouble with his affectionate nature. Ace? Your dog?"

"Ace was the Bat-dog. He was... Batman Like." Dick explained.

He smirked. "That sounds.... weird." He said trying to imagine a dog that acted like Batman.

"Trust me, it was pretty weird. But after he died... Bruce never bothered with a new one." Dick sighed kneeling back down to rub Karim's face.

Roy smiled. "Well I suppose he wouldn't. Probaply felt connected to Ace." He looked up at the house. "Now that we are here should we go in and tell Bruce."

Dick shook his head he opened his mouth to talk but was cut off.

"To tell me what?" Bruce said appearing out of nowhere.

Roy jumped slightly hearing a voice behind them. He looked to the direction of the voice and saw Batman. "Oh... ummm.. how long have you been there?" He asked not knowing what else to say.

"Not too long, just had to chase a cat out of the building." Bruce gave a glare that could kill a man to the direction of the Hellfire Club.

Dick felt the hair on his neck almost stand up. He did appreciate Roy's attempt at small talk to distract.

Roy arched his eyebrow. "Did the cat have white hair?" He put his arms on his chest, crossing them.

--

Bruce raised an eyebrow, "Yes, I assume you've met her."

Dick stood up look at Bruce, "Did she... Try anything?" it would probably sound weird, maybe she was only trying to come on to him. He had to ask.

Roy nodded. "Yeah, we met her yesterday here actually." He remembered what had happened and cleared his throath, feeling slightly awkward.

Bruce raised an eyebrow at the two of them. Dick seemed almost like a deer caught in headlights while Roy kept feeling awkward, his body language gave him that. He paused analyzing the information ahead of him, he disregarded Dick's question as it didn't pertain to what information he wanted, "So, why did you want to speak to me?"

Dick took a step next to Roy, petting the dog's head while he stood next to him. He looked at Roy from the corner of his eyes, he'd let Roy tell him.

Roy looked at Dick, feeling his courage wane under the glare of Batman. They exchanged glances and he turned to look at Batman again. "I am dating your son." He said bluntly, he did not see a reason to pro long the news with chit chat.

Bruce raised an eyebrow, "That's all?" He asked, didn't bother him, well it did a little. But not because of the fact they were a gay couple... for the fact it was Green Arrow's son. After what Green Arrow had put Shayera and Amanda through, he barely felt the need to even look at GA. And if he did.... it was usually completely against his will or just to picture the 1000 ways to rip his head off.

Dick was surprised by Bruce seeming acceptance. The man still had something on his mind by the silent, questioning look Dick was be given by Bruce. Dick bit his lip before slowly speaking, "I... I told him about Two Face." Dick suddenly looked at the ground, waiting for Bruce's reaction to that. Bruce knew he didn't tell anyone how he got his scars, unlike the Joker's fascination with tell everyone how he received his.

He was surprised at how well he took the news. "I promise I will treat him well." He kept his eyes on Bruce before turning his attention to Dick when he spoke.

Bruce could tell how surprised Roy was, but Bruce brushed it off. He wasn't a bigot and he had known about Dick's behaviors around others, it just took Dick a while to realize it himself. After all, Bruce didn't give him enough time to think about this like that.

But when Dick spoke about Two Face, Bruce's entire body language changed, "Combien de l'histoire?" Bruce quietly spoke in a different language, he assumed Roy wouldn't know it and it would make it easier to get his son to talk openly about it.

Dick bit his lip, "Je n'ai pas lui raconter l'histoire complète, juste un résumé phrase." He moved his hand to the bullet scars on his forearm. Rubbing his thumb around it.

Roy frowned, regocnising they were speaking french, obviously not wanting him to understand what they were talking about. He called Karim over and knelt down to pat him, waiting for them to finish their conversation.

Bruce nodded, accepting it before turning his head to Roy, "You do anything you think I wouldn't approve of, and you know what will happen." Bruce gave Dick a nod before stepping away before pausing, "By the way, make sure next time you don't have quite the make-out fest under the Batman tree." Bruce walked away from the two.

Dick nodded, liking that he had Bruce's consent. He sudden flustered a deep red as Bruce called them out on making out under the tree, thankfully the man had his back to him. He dumbly watched Bruce leave before letting a breath that he didn't know he was holding out, "That... went a lot better than expected."

Roy nodded to Batman. Looking down at his feet blushing slightly when he mentioned the make-out session. He cleared his throath. "Yes, it was. You made it sound like I would have to fight him to get to see you." He said teasingly.

"Usually you would. Starfire had to." He said dumbly, well Starfire had to prove her worth. Dick rubbed his face, trying to get the heat off of his face.

He made a face. "I wonder why he didn't then." He said loking to the direction where Bruce had vanished into.

Dick shivered, trying to think of something, "I don't want to know, honestly." He took another step towards Roy, sitting on the ground next to him. He gave Karim a rub on his side, trying not to think of the what Bruce could be planning, if anything.

He nodded and sat on the ground, extending his legs and crossing them before leaning back holding himself up with his arms. He watched Dick play with Karim. "You really like him don't you?" He asked meaning the dog.

Dick nodded, just feeling that dog, "He reminds me of the one I grew up with, before..." He stopped talking, suddenly really focused on the dog, "I always liked dogs, specially the affectionate ones."

He smiled tilting his head as he watched them play. "Well you can play with him as much as you want. You two look really cute."

"That's 'asterous." Dick said, rubbing the dog's neck, "Didja hear that boy, we can see each other whenever." Dick turned his head giving him a half smile, "Might want to be careful I might steal your dog."

Roy laughed and crawled closer to Dick, wrapping his arms around the others waist, pulling his back against him. He kissed his cheek and leaned his chin on his shoulder. "You don't have to stoop to stealing, I will gladly lend him to you."

Dick turned back to the dog, giving a squeak when Roy grabbed his waist and pulled him back against Roy's body. He leaned back looking at Roy's face. Dick gave him a cheek peck on the nose, "Oh? Well then I'll just have to borrow him quite often, maybe the master too." Dick said the last part in a whispered, hoping to get a rise from the other.

He smirked. "The master lets you to do much more to him than borrow." He said whispering into the younger boys ear before kissing it softly.

Dick bit his lip, blushing once more, "If I wasn't so sore, I'd ask for another round." He said almost with a whine, Roy was being a tease.

He smirked wickedly. "Well if you want you could make me sore." He said nibbling on Dicks earlobe.

Dick bit back a moan, pushing himself against Roy, "No, that's your job." He laughed out.

Roy moved his kisses to Dicks neck. "If we are going to decide who does what in this relationship I suggest you get to do the dishes always." He said teasingly. "And the cleaning."

"I suggest a maid." Dick said, moving his head to expose his neck a bit more for Roy. Dick moved his hand and encased the older man's hand with his own.

He smirked against Dicks neck. "We can get you the maid costume, I think you would look cute in it." He sucked on his neck. "Like a panda bear."
