OOC: Setting around Valentines day

Dinah was alone in her room. She had decided to take a nap. She was just about to lul into sleep when Wally barged in. She stifled a groan and laid still, making him believe she was sleeping. "Dinah take a look at these dresses." She felt him sit next to her on the bed. She raised her head, not bothering to act sleeping anymore. She looked at the white dresses in the magazine Wally brought. The dresses were beautifull, but she didn't feel enthusiastic about any of them. She looked at Wally. He smiled widely. "Well? What do you think?" She looked at the dresses again and then she laid her head back down. "I don't really care. You pick one." She said closing her eyes.

Wallys smile vanished, and he looked at her frowning. "I don't get it, why aren't you more excited about this?" He dropped the magazine on the bed next to her. "I mean I get it why you might not like to pick out flowers and what nots. But this is your dress. The one you are going to wear on your wedding day. Aren't all women excited about that." He got up and walked to the window, and looked down to the garden. She could feel he was getting angry. She sighed and sat up on the bed. She glanced at the magazine and took it in her hands. She looked at the models, dressed in white, happy, pure beings. She looked away and tossed the magazine on the bed. "Look Wally, I just don't care about this stuff. Isn't it the point of getting married about us, not the color of the napkins." He turned to look at her, he looked hurt. "So you're saying you don't care what you or I wear or what the people are gonna think or anything?" He asked his voice clearly rising. "Yeah, in a way. Besides, white has never been my color." 'And I have no buisness wearing white anyway' She thought saddly to herself, gently touching her bump. He looked at her angrily. "Really!? I would have thought I meant something to you. But I can see now you don't want to get married with me." He walked past the bed towards the door. She crawled quickly to the edge of the bed and managed to catch his hand. He stopped and turned to look at her. "I do want to marry you. I just don't see why must we make these huge arangements for two little words." She looked at him pleadingly. He looked at her in the eyes for a while before he looked away and sighed deeply. He pulled his hand from hers and left the room.

Dinah looked at the closed door and pulled her knees to her chest. She felt like crying now. The tears were stinging in her eyes, but she just blinked them away. She fel back to the bed and closed her eyes. 'I will deal with him tomorrow.' She thought as she fell asleep.

The next day she couldn't find Wally anywhere. If she asked someone had they seen Wally, they would tell her to go look some place, but he wasn't there. She sat down, on the couch in the livingroom. She didn't know if he was deliberately avoiding her, or if he was still mad at her. She leaned her head back and sighed. Suddenly she heard a knock on the doorframe. She turned her head to the side and saw Shayera there. "Trouble?" She asked as she sat next to Dinah on the couch. "Wally got mad at me for not being too into the wedding arrangements. I think he really got angry." Canary said tired. Shayera smiled to her gently and put her hand to her shoulder. "You know what you need? Let's go out to party." She said smiling widely. "I got the perfect dress for you." She took her hand and pulled Dinah to her room. Shayera pushed her to the shower and made her hair and make up. Talking about this party she was going to take her to. She didn't really care, and just let herself be made up. She needed a distraction from her problems. Shayera pulled her to her feet and brought her the dress. It was black and sleak, it fit her well and made her look slim, eventhough she had a bit of a bump showing. She smiled when she saw herself in the mirror. "But don't you think it's a bit too fancy, if we go to party?" She asked turning around to see Shayera come out wearing something as fancy as her. "I didn't say we were going to a club, did I?" She said winking. Shayera dragged her out with her. "Lets go through the garden. So we don't get caught. Dinah folowed her, wondering why Shayera was acting weird. She puled her hand from her grip, when they were near the entrance to the garden. "What is going on? What does it matter if somebody sees us?" Shayera had this odd little smile on her lips as she nodded towards the garden. "See for yourself." Dinah slowly walked to the entrance, and gasped at what she saw.

She saw candel light, shining brightly in the dusk. She saw people there waiting for her. She saw Wally. She felt someone take her hand and lead her down the stairs. She looked to her side and saw Shayera, who was smiling to her warmly. She looked around herself and saw everyone there. As they walked closer to Wally she felt an odd twisting feeling in her stomach and chest. It did not feel bad, it made her smile. Wally smiled to her as he took her hand. She looked deep into his eyes, and smiled happily. "Happy valentines day." She heard him whisper, when they turned towards the minister who started to talk. She tried to focus on the words, but found herself glancing at Wally from time to time. She felt a small squeese on her hand and she woke up from her daydream. The minister was looking at her questioningly, and it felt like the whole garden was holding its breath. "I do." The words rolled off her tongue. She saw Wally smile to her warmly as he softly kissed her lips. She kissed him back touching his cheek, one tear rolling down her cheek. People were clapping. They broke the kiss and turned to their audience. She smiled happily to them, as Wally took a bow.

He led her to a little table, which held a cake. He cut them a piece, and led her to a quilt laid down on the grass. She sat down and he folowed sitting down next to her. "Now I know I may have overreacted a bit, and for that I'm sorry. So I decided to make it something small and sweet. Hopefully you like it." He said taking a piece of cake in his fork and offering it to her. She smiled and let him feed her the cake. "You are forgiven." She kissed him sweetly. "Were you planning this the whole day?" He nodded, and she smiled to him, taking some cream in her finger and wiping it on his nose. He laughed and wiped the cream and licked it from his finger. "So mrs West, would you like to dance?" She nodded and took his hand as he helped her up from the ground. Kitty ran to the cd player and pushed play. He led her a bit farther and pulled her close as he swayed slowly with her to the music. He leaned to her ear and whispered softly. "I love you mrs West." She kissed him softly on the lips. "I love you too mr West." The others started to join in on the dancing. The sky was getting darker, making the candels shine brighter. She looked into Wallys eyes, and hugged his chest, as they laid down on the grass to watch the stars. He puled her close, and she didn't want to wake up.
