Killing stress with fun

Kitty and Wade had decided to go to the Danger room after they both woke up.

They set it on an easy mode for a warm up. Lasers shot from the walls, boulders from the ceiling. Wade had been smashed against the wall a couple of times and cut into a couple of pieces a few times, but of course he had healed.

Kitty had even pulled him out from under a boulder once. She would phase through them with no problem.

If she could do that, what else can so do? Wade thought, before a laser cut him in half. "That's what I get for thinking!" He said out loud, making Kitty laugh.

Kitty glanced over at Wade and made sure that he was able to handle himself before she phased through some lasers that were aiming at Wade. She smiled when she heard the satisfying crackle of the lasers short-circuit, she had to dodge a few boulders that nearly landed on her. She tried to remember the advice Catwoman had given her and was shocked to see that it helped, she didn't see the laser behind her until Wade was there. "Thanks for the save." She said after he had finished dismantling the laser.

"No problem, Kitty-cat." He said, "You don't seem like the kind that could do this kind of thing. Care to step up the level?"

She raised an eyebrow, "Hmm is that a challenge?" She asked as she dodged another boulder.

"Why yes, yes it is in fact. Now what level do you think you can handle... 2? 3? Or do you need pebbles and water guns shooting at us?"

She rolled her eyes, "I think I'll let you play with the boy scouts, I'm going to do level nine." She said with a wicked smile.

"Level nine." Wade had suddenly become serious, "Are you sure you want to go that high? With, you know, the baby. I've done level nine, it's no joke."

"I've done level nine, I have a feeling that if we work together we can beat the level." She said also becoming serious even as she remembered the baby.

Wade was surprised to see Kitty do as well as she did. She jumped on top of a boulder, through another one and took out a laser.

He never knew she was so fast and flexible. He had cut through boulders, shot lasers and gotten smashed... Again.

Just when he though Kitty was gonna turn into a kitty pancake, she phased thorough. She was very impressive.

They were both out of breath by the time they were done.

"So Kitty, wanna go get some food?" Wade said.

She laughed, "After that work out? Yes." She said and smiled up at him, if she was honest with herself she might have been showing off just a little bit.
