Meeting the girl who saw it all..

Lorna was scared to be in the brotherhood, especially with the men who made that male into a female. She sat on the living room chair, feeling a little bit safer in Xavier.

Bruce walked through the living room, looking at the strange girl that sat on the couch. He had not ever seen her before, "Hello?" He said politely.

Lorna turned her head, before freezing as she saw the man who was turned into a female. Her eyes were wide, "H-Hi.."

Bruce raised an eyebrow, "Hello?" he questioned lightly. The girl seemed afraid of him, "Don't worry, I don't bite?" he said humorously hoping to not scare the girl off.

Lorna sat there, before letting something slip out, "B-But you...you were turned into a w-woman." She said, remembering the whole scene.

Bruce's eyes widened lightly before he coughed, "Obviously not, since... I'm clearly a man." He gestured to himself, "See? Man." He thought quickly inside of his head, trying to figure out how and why she knew.

Lorna shook her head, "N-No I was there...That man with green hair, and the man who looked scary..They...they tied me up when I went down there and saw them...They changed you to a woman..I remember watching it happen..before I escaped.." She stated, looking at the man, "A-And..now..your a man again.."

Bruce winced visibly, knowing that she really had witnessed it, "I'm sorry you had to see that. But the man you label as scary felt pity for me and changed me back... well that or I was going to die." Bruce knew better than to beat around the bush, honestly was the best policy.

Lorna nodded, "I'm glad you were able to change back." She said as she looked away, not knowing what to do now. She honestly felt shy now.

Bruce looked at the floor before looking at her, "My name is Bruce, but you'll here people calling me Batman more often then not. how about you?"

Lorna turned her head slightly to look at the man, "My name's Lorna..but I'm known as Polaris to people who don't know my real name." She said, shyly.

"Nice to meet you." He smiled lightly at her, noticing her shyness, "So... what's your abilities? If you have any?" He asked, hoping to start a conversation.

Lorna smiled when she saw his smile. She then looked down, "I can manipulate metal." She said, before looking back at him, "I would show you..but, I was recently caught. So...I can't.."

Bruce nodded, "I don't need a display of ability to know you're telling the truth."

Lorna nodded, before leaning back against the couch. She played with her hands, "I'm glad that man helped you.." She said.

Bruce nodded in agreement, "As am I." He felt awkward, only because he was a straight forwardly blunt man while she was being extremely shy, "So... Lorna, if you don't mind me calling you that, what brought you here?"

Lorna looked up at him, "I don't like being in the same house as that man with the green hair." She said, "He...he is psychotic."

Bruce laughed lightly, "Tell me something I don't know. Villains tend to be that way, though."

Lorna laughed softly, "Do you know why..why some are violent and kill just for blood..Or the ones who don't want to kill..but..they are still villains?" She asked.

"When you don't try to help if a crazy villain is trying to kill someone, it makes you just as much of a villain." He tried to explain it to the best of his ability.

Lorna nodded, getting out of the shy state, "How are you feeling?" She asked.

"Sick. As usual. It's just me coming down off of the Titan though. Not the first time, I'll be fine." He coughed again, "How about you?"

Lorna nodded, "I hope you feel better." She said, before she looked down, "I'm scared.."

"Thanks." He paused when she kept speaking, "Why are you scared?" he asked a little worriedly.

"I don't want to be here, and I don't want to be in those arenas..I saw someone explode someone else's heart.." She said, her voice shaking.
