The Widow and the Devil

Kara walked into the living room with Matt, "Well we are in the living room now." She said, before stopping making sure she guided him to a safe spot.

Natalia was on the couch, lounging out as she was watching the TV.

Matt's attention was immediately directed at Natalia, she was not someone he suspected to see here. He'd wait for her to see him though, keeping his cover under wraps for now.

Kara saw how his attention was directed to Natalia. She kept quiet now.

Natalia felt people in the room with her, she turned her attention, before taking a double take. Her eyes widening as she saw Matt, "M-Matt!?" She asked, getting up as she walked to him, "H-How..how did they.."

"Quite simple, Natalia. I didn't see it coming... then again when could I ever see?" He laughed lightly as his own joke putting the stick on his hip. He could see outlines of everything around him, but he'd have to touch and feel things to get an educated guess on how long and tall some things were.

Kara stood there awkwardly.

"Well..you are pretty good at not seeing things." She said, laughing softly at his joke. She put a hand on his shoulder, "Sorry your stuck in this hell hole as well.."

Kara heard James cry, "I have to go get my child, Natalia, could you please explain to him what is going on?" When she received a nod, she walked to her room.

The moment she left the man's demeanor change, "Explain." he said short and quickly, hoping for a quick and easy answer.

Natalia put her hands in her pockets, she then explained everything as they sat down on the couch. When she was done she looked down, letting her bangs cover her eyes a little, "So that's pretty much it."

Matt's hand patted the couch, looking for hers, "For some reason I cannot see things clearly like I could in our city... I'm sorry, but I cannot see you, Natalia." He couldn't find her hand to hold it and it was frustrating him.

Natalia quickly went and grabbed his hand, "I'm sorry, I just thought you could. I'm sorry for overlooking you don't know this place." She said, rubbing his hand softly.

Matt smiled, "Something here is blocking my abilities. I am very unsure of what it is but..." He sniffed, "Seems like a certain Batman is here... or was here recently. I'll end up talking to him about it..." Matt moved his thumb off her knuckles, "How did they get you?"

Natalia let her free hand rub his face gently, "Remember about those collars I was talking about? We both have one." She said, before she guided his hand to the collar around his neck, "I think it's because of that.."

He could feel the metallic collar. It's cold edges spoke to his senses. "I see." he said quietly. If it blocked powers then it made sense that this would block his unofficial power.

Natalia then guided both his hands to her face, "And I'm right here." She said, trying to help him see things. She knew he felt a little lost.

He rubbed his fingers lightly on her face, the images that he loved popped into his mind. It wasn't as good as she actually looked, he mused. "Remind me to go outside with you when it rains."

"Okay." She said, before she leaned back a little. She moved her foot next to his, making sure he knows that she is still by him. Natalia looked at the wall, "How are you feeling?"

"Disoriented being the main thing, frustrated, and beyond a shadow of a doubt my rival is actually living here... so a pretty good day." Matt smiled lightly at the wall, thinking it was Natalia. He tapped the sofa noticing he made a mistake, he turned a bit to face her.

Natalia smiled a bit, before she leaned to him, letting her lips hover over his, "How about I try to make it a little bit better then." She whispered against his lips.

"You speak my language, Natalia." He light pressed his lips onto hers, giving her a kiss, "It's been a long time, Natalia. you need to stop disappearing on me."

Natalia laughed as she kissed him back. Her hand rubbed his chest, "I'm sorry..maybe I'll make it up to you later..if you wouldn't mind." She whispered.

Kara walked in with James, seeing Natalia and Matt getting friendly, "Um hi."

Natalia looked up, before leaning away from Matt.

Kara looked at Matt, "So are you really a lawyer? And how do you two know each other?"

"Only if I get to room with you."

"Um hi"

He turned to Kara, quickly his sunglasses falling off his face to show a quite disfigured eyes. The skin was burned and different shades of color. You would not have known his eyes looked like that because of the glasses he wore. He patted the sofa for his glasses, looking for them. He didn't want them to see.

"So are you really a lawyer? And how do you two know each other?"

Matthew sighed, "You're a hero, as am I. I go by the name of Daredevil... Batman knows me quite well." Daredevil smirked, "You could say we're rivals of tragedy. Unfortunately... I can't even see enough to not fumble around like an idiot." He cursed lightly, still grabbing for his sunglasses.

Natalia winced when she saw his glasses fall, giving Kara a look to look away. She grabbed his glasses, picking them up as she put them back on him, "There ya go." She said as she leaned back, sitting next to him.

Kara looked away when Natalia gave her a look, before looking back when Matt talked, "Didn't know Batman had a rival who is a hero, but you learn something new everyday."

James made a sound, wanting his mom's attention.

Kara looked down at James, putting her forehead against his. She then looked back to Matt, "I'm sorry.."

"He might not call me a rival, but I remember him getting quite upset with me when I landed on top of him 300 feet above Gotham City. The man has the courage of a lion." He said slowly. He heard a child, he winced with his sensitive ears, "Can you please make sure he will not cry, you will hurt me if he said." He hoped not to insult Kara, but to make her wary of his above normal sensitive ears.

"I'm sorry..."

Matt sighed lightly, "It's not your fault. A crash was too close to me while I was playing. It carried toxic waste. Another car collided with it and only my eyes were burned. Of course I did get quite a few abilities... Though I dislike when people try to put mustard in my coffee into of cream. That's annoying." He mused remembering his boss doing that on occasions.

Kara listened to him, before she looked at James, who was being quiet now. She rocked him, making sure to keep him quiet, "I'm sorry." She said.

Natalia looked down, remembering when she was told all of this. It still made her cringe.

Kara nodded, "I'll make sure no one tries to do that."

Matt smiled at what he thought was Kara, but it was a lamp. For some reason the collar was affecting his abilities to feel peoples auras and minor thinks cause displacement in his mind. What he thought he was seeing, was not true, "Thank you... Though, is this place handicap accessible?" He asked, hoping it would be easy without steps and things like that.

Kara nodded, "It is and it kind of isn't but there are rooms on the floor we are on right now.." She said, hoping she could help, "And I'm guessing you two want a room together?"

Natalia looked at Matt, "It's up to him." She said, crossing her legs.
