Trigger Scent..

Laura didn't answer, water had got into her mouth as well during the impact. Which mean her pulse was not there..

''Come on Laura!'' He let his ear to her hart. He than looked at her. Shaking his head. He tilted her head a little. Closing her nose with two fingers as he kissed her lips. Breathing his lungs out just to hope she would still be alive.

After a few more tries, Laura's heart beat came back. And the moment Slade looked at her, she coughed out the water, choking for some air.

He looked at her. "I've already lost everything, I'm not going to lose you.." He said just before she choked up the water. "Laura!" He eye(s) widen

Laura kept coughing, taking gasps for air, rolling on her side. Showing that she was alive.

He patted her back. Brushing her hair out her face.

Laura opened her eyes, before she realized she wasn't dead..She looked at him, "Why did you-" She coughed, "Why did you save me?"

"Because I don't want you to die.." He said. Looking at her. "I will protect you." He said with a serious facial expression.
"I love you Laura.."

"Because I don't want you to die.."

Her eyes narrowed in confusion..

"I will protect you."

Her eyes softened a little, he was going to protect her?

"I love you Laura.."

Laura's eyes opened wide fast, sitting there in shock, "Y-You do? But..you were just saying..on the railing..That..you didn't."

He looked at her. "I did....Because than maybe you wouldn't jump..." He looked down. "Would you prEfer to be dead now instead?"
He really did love her, but he couldn't..it was dangerous, and it would only make him weaker..

Laura looked at him, before she looked down, "I..I love you too, and I don't want you to keep pushing me away.."

He sighed deeply. "It is for the better...I am done explaining this.." He said looking down. "Are you hurt?"

Laura looked down, the only thing that hurt was her heart..And her ankle a bit. She started to get up slowly, "No..just broken." She as she started to walk away.

He stood up. When she started to walk he grabbed for her hand. "Laura wait.."She turned around to face him. "I'm sorry." He said holding her hand. "I am sorry for..hurting you.." He pulled her to him. Laying her hand on his chest. "But I do love you."

Laura looked at him when he grabbed her hand. She just listened to him, feeling the tears form in her eyes. She looked up at when he pulled her close to him.

"But I do love you."

"I love you too, but I want you to stop pushing away..Its hurt me every time..and it'll keep hurting until I can close off my whole body from the world.."

He pulled her into a hug. "I am very sorry to have hurted you so deeply.." He said. Holding her closer to him. "I am sorry...I do love you laura, and I promise. I won't hurt you anymore..."

Laura's eyes widened as he pulled her in a hug. Her eyes softened as he held her closer..

The tears formed up in her eyes, "I love you too.." She said before she buried her face to his chest. Hugging him back.

He held her close. Noticing some people stare at them. ''Maybe we should go...'' He said as he pulled out of the hug.

''Maybe we should go...''

Laura went to respond, only to smell whatever that was left of the trigger scent. Her whole body went to a halt, tensing as she froze and stood still. Her eyes were a little bit wide and they were red. She growled.

He looked at her surprised before he looked down at his shirt. He quickly took it off. Handing it to her. ''Here...'' He said unsure what to do.

Laura looked at the shirt, smelling the scent came from it. She ripped it up, throwing it in the ocean. And the moment the scent left her nose. Her eyes went back to normal, leaning back a little. She turned around, seeing people look at them, "Yeah..maybe we should go.." Laura said, as if he just said what he said before the scent got to her.

He blinked. ''you just...ripped my shirt apart.'' He laughed weakly. As he took her hand and started to walk with her.

Laura looked at him, before she saw he wasn't wearing a shirt, "I did?" She asked, grabbing his hand and walked with him.

He laughed. ''You did..'' He smiled at her.
