| They came, dragging in the Joker between them, into the medical lab.
"Lets place him over there." Jonathan led them to the nearest bed and heaved the Joker's body on it. "You take off his shirt and IƤll go fetch the stuff we'll need." He told Harley before leaving them.

| Harley nodded quickly pulling off his shirt gingerly, hoping not to hurt the man. After thinking about it for a moment she just ripped off the shirt and glared at the body. | |

| He searched the storage room and the shelves. He took the intruments he would need to do a surgery and the anaesthetic. They would need gowns to protect their clothes. With all the things needed, he went back to the two and placed the intruments on a movable table he dragged along him.
"Here. Put that on." He threw the gown to Harley and put on his own. "I'll need you to hand me tools as I go along with removing the bullet." He intructed.

| Harley put on the gown quickly before nodding, "Yes, sir." She moved next to the instruments. | |

| Scarecrow inspected the bullet hole. The bleeding had stopped but he'd still lost a lot of blood. "He'll need a blood transfusion. Do you know what his blood type is?" He asked Harley. | |

| He frowned. "Well, that's going to cause a problem because if we can't do him a transfusion his bloodpressure will drop and he'll go into shock. That could prove fatal... We could go on a guess but the chances the blood will be right is less then 50. Do you want to try that aside the risk?" He turned to Harley. | |

| Harley bit her lips, "Give him O+ if you can find it, O+ works for everything... I think." Harley said lightly. | |

| Scarecrow nodded and went to get the blood.
He put the blood bag on the pole beside the bed and then attached Joker to the IV. "Now lets see if the blood works." They waited and after a moment when joker didn't show any signs of rejecting the blood theu got to work.
Scarecrow applied the anaesthetic on Joker and waited for it to affect.
"Okay, Harley. Give me the scalpel." He took the scalpel Harley gave to him and concentrated to cut the wound more open so he could get to the bullet easier. "Now give me the retractor." He placed the retractor on the wound that spread the wound. He noticed some bleeding and told Harley to tap the blood off by the cottonwool dap. He then asked for the forceps. He could see the bullet and reatched for it with the forceps. He drag the bullet out carefully and dropped it to a metal holder.
"There. Now we just need to sew him up."

| Harley handed him a needle and some wire, "So... do you think he's going to be okay?" | |

| He glanced at Harley while sewing the wound closed. "I think so. He'll be out of it for awhile, though." He cut the leftover wire and took some bandages to wrap Joker's midsection. "Well," he said when finished, "He's in your care now. I'm going back to the lab." He said and with no more to say he left. | |

| Joker groaned as he was coming around. He opened his eyes a crack and glanced around. The room he was in was dim, only a beam of light coming under the closed door near the bed he was laying. He rose, with a bit difficulty, to a sitting position. His side ached numbly but he ignored it. He looked around himself more closely. He noted he was in some kind of a patient room. There didn't seem to be anyone else with him. Good, so there wouldn't be any nurses to stop him from leaving. Joker swung his legs over the bed's side. He felt dizziness coming but shook his head and tried to stand. He got up and started to walk towards the door. He didn't get far before he stumbled on his injured side. He let out a pained gasp. The Joker felt his side with his hand; it felt sticky. The wound had opened and started to bleed again.
Shit! He cursed mentally. That fucking Scarecrow was going to pay dearly... And where was Harley when you needed her...
He got on his knees and pushed himself up and continued his way towards the door on all fours. He reached for the handle and pulled himself on his feet. He stopped to breath for a moment before slipping out of the room.
